A Fire Breakdown Staff is a heavy rod with Kevlar wicks on each end which breaks down into smaller pieces for easy transport. The Kevlar ends are soaked in liquid fuel and lit on fire as a performance art form. Contact Staffing is a type of object manipulation ( similar to contact juggling) utilizing a staff which is weighted on the outside ends to slow down the rotation and momentum of the staff, making balancing easier for on-body contact moves. Instead of spinning the staff with just your hands, parts of your body such as your neck, shoulders, forearms, elbows, chest, back and legs are used to control and manipulate the staff.
Our high quality collapsible contact Staffs breakdown into three (3) separate pieces, making them easy to fit into a backpack. The three pieces slide together easily and twist down tight to give you a completely rigid staff. No wobbling, loose fitting pieces or noise when spinning like push button breakdown Staffs. A must for people who travel.
All of our Staffs are made using the highest quality materials and are designed to withstand abuse from ongoing drops and tosses, providing you with years of enjoyment. Each staff is engineered for optimal spinning dynamics and balance. Contact us for other color, weight, wick or custom length options.
