X-Treme LED Staff - Quantum - 48 LED

This staff is available in a 48 and 96 LED version. The 48 LED version is the same construction as the 96 LED version, but half the lights and only 2 controllers. Both are very bright, but for Maximum Brightness, get the 96 LED and for Maximum Battery Life, get the 48 LED. Both have the same light strips, but the LED spacing is twice as far apart on the 48 LED version. On the 2 controller version, you can only set each end to one pattern or color. On the 4 controller version you can set each of the 4 light strips to their own individual color or pattern.

The construction of the staff is made rigid from end to end. The center is made from a piece of 1" aircraft grade aluminum tubing that houses the batteries. From this, extends a piece of rubber mounted square box aluminum that provides a vibration dampened rigid spine to mount the LEDs to. For protection, a piece of 1" rigid polycarbonate is mounted over the LEDS. The real secret to the rigidity is how the aluminum spine and the polycarbonate are tied together on each end to provide a "truss" structure. The ends of the staff have 3oz weights attached for a balanced feel that will work well for both spinning and contact. The ends have rubber caps for vibration dampening.

• This remote will work with all the X-Treme Quantum props. This allows you to change all the props on a stage at once. If you have a prop with multiple controllers, turn on the ones you want to set the mode on, set it with the remote, then turn them off. Turn on the other controllers, set the mode and then turn the others back on. They will remember the mode you set them to.
• This controller works of "RF" (radio frequency), not IR (Infrared). What this means to you, is that the remote does not have to be pointed at the prop to change it. The range is about 50 ft.

• There are 20 Solid-Color Modes with 5 brightness settings and 19 different Strobe/Fade Modes with 5 speed settings. Modes are not reprogrammable.
  
• Strobe modes will give the longest charge life and solid modes will give a shortest charge life, with solid white being the shortest.

• All the LEDs are of the "5050" type. Theses are a very bright readily available RGB LED. We are currently developing a method of additionally reinforcing the LEDs for additional durability. This technology will be in the finished product.

• All X-Treme Quantum props run of an 11.1V Li-ion battery pack. We choose lithium because of the long life, light weight and no memory effect. All battery packs have protection circuits built in. They can be charged about 500 times. The batteries can be replaced, but will have to be sent back to us to change them out. All batteries are covered by the 1 year warranty. Making a user replaceable battery would negatively affect durability.

• Each X-Treme Quantum prop includes a Li-Ion Charger that will charge the Poi and Hoop in about 1.5 hours and Staff in about 3 hours. (The staff has a bigger battery)
