So far, there's two conflicting reviews for these
My boyfriend (primarily a poi spinner) had purchased these fans a while back, but not the toy for him apparently. But I picked them up recently, loved it! I'm writing this review because there were two on here, with conflicting opinions.
As a rank beginner, I've been dropping/throwing these fans, and I'm quite pleased with how strong they are. I keep expecting them to break or bend when one spins off my hand into the wall/floor. Maybe I've just been lucky. Having never used a different fan, I don't have anything to directly compare to. But so far I've been really impressed with how strong they are!

good fans but
These are pretty sturdy fans with great features. I really like the four ring grip as it opens up a lot of possibility's.
my only issue with them is that the metal used for these is low grade. meaning they would be perfect for anyone looking to spice up a bellydance routine or doing simple moves, but not so much the more complicated and intricate moves. I tend to do a LOT of tosses and finger spins which means they are dropped at times, resulting in my middle spoke breaking off. all in all I think they are great fans for someone starting off *though pricey) but when I retire this pair, I'll just make some new ones myself. |

Fan-tastic!
I have purchased three pairs of the poison fire fans over the last 9 months and I definitely love them! They are a great medium weight and create a beautiful ambiance for those slow calculated dance steps. They are pretty good for tricks and speed moves as well. Our fans have definitely been broken in by dropping them while practicing tosses which has chipped much of the powder coating off and eventually broke a weld, but I have to commend the workmanship on being very sturdy despite dropping and bending them over and over again. It took a lot to damage the one that we did! Ignition tested, Ignition approved! :) |
