Looking for a unique theatrical prop for your next routine or fire troupe production? We have what you’re looking for. Our fire canes are made with a light weight bamboo core, covered with a black heat shield sleeve, and then fitted with Kevlar wicking.

Available in two distinctive styles. Each cane measures 40 inches (1016 mm) in length. Our “double wick” cane has two Kevlar wicks. Each wick is made of 24 inches (610 mm) of 2 inch (50 mm) wide and 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) thick Kevlar. Our “snake” cane comes with 18 inches (460 mm) of 5/8 inch (16 mm) thick Kevlar rope. Both canes can be used with any type of fuel (see fuel page).

Fire Cane
I got the snake wick version, which is basically the rope wick that you'd see on a set of fans, wrapped around the bottom part of the cane. The black material that you see in the photo is the flame resistant heat shield that doesn't actually go that far up the cane and the fire ends up burning the bamboo, turning it black and weakening it a bit. The black grip that you see in the photo doesn't actually exist either. Ok so here's why I DO like it. Even though it looks kind of crappy, when it's on fire, it looks so tight! My boyfriend is a dancer and the things he can do with that cane are amazing-throwing it up, spinning it around his neck with the hook, using it like a staff. It's so light that it's easy for anybody to use. And to be honest, it really has held up. We are not very forgiving with our toys-they travel with us, get crammed into the car, get dropped, stepped on, played with A TON..and it's still working great after almost a year. Not the BEST product, but solid.
