Construction: Our collapsible staff has been re-designed to make the assembly smoother and all the components stronger, while maintaining the weight, balance and rigidity of the design you have come to love. All 3 pieces of our collapsible fire staves come in #6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum tubing and are available in either 7/8” diameter in polished silver, or 1” diameter in the following colors: Black, Red, Blue, Green, Gold, and Polished Silver. The inside component consists of overlapping male/female pieces which attach and tighten when turned.

Staff Length: Deciding what length of staff is right for you varies from person to person, though chin height seems to be the most common. For this reason, we offer collapsible breakdown staves in a variety of sizes beginning at 4’6” and increasing in one-inch increments through 6’.

Weighted vs. Non-Weighted: Our Collapsible Breakdown Staves are available in a variety of different weights. Our non-weighted staves tend to have the weight balanced in the center of the staff. For people who prefer a heavier staff, or enjoy doing high tech contact moves, we offer weighted staves which shifts the weight more towards the outside ends. Adding weight slows down the rotation of the staff, making balancing easier for contact moves. This is done by installing steel weights into the ends of the staff. These steel weights are located inside of the staff for your protection and will not be visible. You can choose the amount of weight you want added to each end: 2 oz., 3 oz., 4oz., 5 oz. and 6 oz., with 3 oz. being the most common.

Wick Size: We offer two diameters of wick to choose from: Regular and Extra Large. Regular wicks use 4 ft (1220mm) of 1/16" (3mm) thick Kevlar. Extra Large wicks use 6 ft ( mm) of 1/16" (3mm) thick Kevlar. These lengths are per wick, not per staff.

Wick Configurations: Single, double, and triple wick configurations are available in 2" (50mm), 2.5" ( mm), 3" (75mm), and 4" ( mm) wide widths. Wick spacing will vary depending on your staff configuration and length. Keep in mind, the more wicks you have on your staff, the heavier it is. The heavier your staff is, the slower it will spin. Wooden plugs are placed into each end to ensure a secure attachment point.

Grip: The middle section of each contact staff is covered with a padded vinyl grip which provides comfort, stability, and helps absorb moisture for less slippage. Choose from a large variety of colors in solids and stripes.

Wow...
I'm a noob, but this staff is so awesome I had to review it. I was warned about getting a collapsible staff as my first staff, but I have travel issues so I decided to squeeze out the extra cash and pick this one up - in blue.
It's sexy, it's grippy, it's super well-made... It has great balance, and it's survived at least 20 very hard drops on concrete so far and I'm sure it will take more. (I practice in a basement.)
Of course, it fits in my bag too!
I will, without question, buy all my staffs here. |

Highly recommended staff
I am just starting to spin staff and needed some advice on what kind, size, and weight staff to get. I called Trick Concepts and got amazing customer service. The knowledgeable and courteous staff (that pun was unintentional) helped me to get just the right one for me. I am very pleased. I practiced for five hours the day I got it. The staff is perfectly weighted and just the right height for me. The extra three ounces they added to the end make contact moves manageable, and the staff does feel like one solid piece when assembled. I could not be happier with my new obsession. |

Very good staff
I bought the 5ft and 3 inch version with added weights of 6 oz.
When connected the staff feels like a single piece and there is no rattle.
After some use you need to tighten the ends a bit which is a slight drawback.
The staff has a lot of momentum and is awesome for contact moves.
The added weight(6 oz) is a bit too much and I would recommend any one else buying the staff to go for 3 oz or 4 oz max.
About the price with the shipping it cost 200$ which is quite pricey...
If you have the option to purchase it not from abroad but from the U.S. I would recommend the staff.

Professional Staff
ALL DAY ALL I DO is spin staff and I have been working on contact moves for a while. I got the dbl XL 4inch wicked with no extra weights and this staff can not only perform every contact move out there it makes it so easy with the extra weight from the bigger wicks that I have learned moves I had never even considered in minutes after open the package. Its also quite solid which was a concern i do a lot of kicking moves and I really tested this staff with some high speed and altitude drops and its still strong. 5 stars |

Review on collapsable staff
I bought a collapsable staff last year for my boyfriend for xmas. He loves it and spins with it constantly. Before all he used was homemade staffs made of shower curtains. His favorite things about the staff are that it's perfectly weighted, the grips are fantastic, it's easy for him to find the center, and the staff is very portible. He started practicing with a local group here in salt lake that does fire spinning professionally. The main girl took one look at his staff, held it, and said it was an absolute waste of money and completely worthless. She's only used home made staffs as well. She scoffed at the staff and acted as though it were a diseased thing. Needless to say, my bf lost all the respect he had for them because his staff is by far better than anything those people have ever touched. He hasn't really practiced with them since then. Personally I think she's just jealous that he has the coolest staff in salt lake city. Thanks for the high quality staff! You guys rock, your products rock, and they can go play with their shitty ass curtain rods. lol
