Looking for a High Quality Collapsible Fire Hoop? Find out what makes our Hoops different from the rest. Design: All of our Hoops and Spines are designed and manufactured in-house by Jaz, a mechanical engineer. Our collapsible hoops break down into 3 pieces for easy transport and snaps back together quickly and rigidly.
-
Construction: Our hoops are made from 3/4" polyethylene gas pipe (outside diameter measures about 1" or 26mm). Gas tubing is more expensive than the irrigation tubing that most people use, but we spend the extra money to get this superior tubing because gas tubing holds its shape better and wobbles less than irrigation tubing. The insert nuts in our hoop go all the way through both sides of the hoop, increasing the strength at the wick attachment point. We do not use jack-nuts, which tend to break when they hit the ground. A strip of gaffers tape runs along the inside perimeter of the hoop for extra grip and to reduce slippage.
-
Connectors: Our connectors are precision machined for a smooth fit which prevents wobbling while hooping. All of our connectors have a built in double-push button latch that keeps the hoop extra rigid during use.
-
Disassembly: All hoops come with a key chain tool for quick disassembly. Simply use tool provided to compress the push button latch connectors and pull apart.
-
Flexible Spine Wicks: Our hoops feature 6 removable spines. These spine wicks were specifically designed to flex when they hit the ground to prevent breakage. A special blend of polyurethane rubber is molded into a stem which is securely attached to stainless steel rods and Kevlar wicks, acting as a base. While flexible, these polyurethane stems are rigid enough to prevent the wicks from wobbling and will hold the weight of the hoop standing. The polyurethane also acts as a lock when tightened against the hoop to reduce the likelihood of wicks coming loose during use. The polyurethane also absorbs wick wobble instead of amplifying it like a spring spines are prone to do. Simply unscrew the spine wicks to detach for easy transport, transforming your fire hoop into a practice hoop!
-
Padding: Our Hoops are padded for comfort! We put a strip of foam around the inside of the hoop under the tape to reduce fatigue and bruising. It's been referred to as the Cadillac of hoops!
-
Size Choices: Our Hoops are available in 4 sizes: 36" (91cm) diameter, 38" (97cm) diameter, 40" (102cm) diameter, and 44"(112cm) diameter (outside measurement).
-
Spine Choices: Spines are available in 2 lengths: 6.5" (165mm) and 8.5" (216mm) long. Shorter spines are great for tricks and quick maneuvers which require getting the hoop close to the ground, however may become very hot if you don't keep the hoop moving. Longer spines get the fire further away from your hands and body to reduce the heat you feel. Keep in mind the longer the spines will have less ground clearance.
-
Wick Choices: Wick heads are available in 3 sizes: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Beginner wicks are 1.5" (38mm) wide and 1.5" (38mm) diameter, and use 2 ft. of Kevlar wick. Intermediate wicks are 1.5" (38mm) wide and 1.75" (50mm) in diameter and use 3 ft. of Kevlar wick. Advanced wicks are 1.5” (38mm) wide and 2” (50mm) in diameter and use 4 ft. of Kevlar wick.

Our fire resistant towels and blankets (also known as Duvetyn) are made out of heavy 16 ounce commando” grade cotton fabric that has a brushed finish on one side and smooth on the other. Order a 27” (680mm) x 36” (900mm) fire blanket for putting out your hoop wicks with your hoop and save. Note: Washing these towels and blankets will remove their fire resistance. Even if the fabric resists burning, the fuel vapors on the fabric can still ignite. Excess fuel may build up on a towel that has been used several times in a row, so allow time for the towel or blanket to dry out if it becomes damp with fuel.

killer hoop!
I received my hoop in the mail on the 3rd of July and did my first burn the next day in front of a huge crowd at the beach on the 4th. This hoop was absolutely amazing. I am very impressed by the craftsmanship. I've lit up this hoop several times since, and this hoop hasn't failed me. My wicks are still in good shape. I bought extra wick, but I don't think I'll be needing it for awhile...:) The flexible spines also take a good beating if dropped.
I would recommend taping where the connectors meet with some hockey tape before performing, just for reinforcement...you never know...
I hate to brag, but I have seen other fire hoops in person and online, and I always feel like I have the nicest fire hoop of all. :) I plan on getting a smaller fire hoop in the future, and will definitely purchase again from trickconcepts. |

Hoop-tacular!
I absolutely love my hoop! I opted for the larger size with the bigger wicks (because I'm tallish and wanted it to burn longer), so some people think it's a little heavy, but I really like the weight.
The grippy padding on the inside is hands-down my favorite feature (though the springy spines give it a run for its money) -- when the heat's on and my skin's slippery, it doesn't phase the hoop one bit. I haven't used any of my other hoops to practice since I've gotten it (I think they're jealous), and it's made it through three countries!
So, if you're looking for a hoop with some weight to it that can take a beating and be with you wherever you may go, you've found it. |
